Madrid, April 20th 2020. Wottoline, Spanish multinational product and logistics company has opened a flyway between China and Madrid, Spain to import medical protection masks to Spain. The company has hired 2 weekly planes with their principal logistics operators to guarantee supply the medical protection material for the following months. The company objective is import 25 million weekly masks to distribute between pharmacy’s, as well as personal protection to employees of large companies.

These 2 weekly flights hired by Wottoline, will land in the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport this Tuesday April 21st morning with 4.000.000 medical protection masks. The second flight is scheduled to arrive in the capital on Thursday April 23rd with 3.920.000 units.

The aircraft has a capacity of 220 cubic meters, which allows to transport 35 tons of medical protection material.

This project has been possible thanks to the participation of the Ministries of Industry, Trade, Tourism and Foreign Affairs of the Government of Spain, whose staff in Canton and Beijing have made the necessary arrangements with the Government of the People´s Republic of China to facilitate the flyway, due to the complicated situation caused by the great world demand for this type of material.

Wottoline is committed in the fight against Covid-19 and has offer to the government and interested companies the more than 35 years’ experience as in import of products from the Asian country. The company has closed a supply contract with one of the main suppliers of this material of 100 million units per month for the next 12 months.

Wottoline currently supplies millions of units of personal protective equipment (PPE) managed by different society through donations from the main Spanish companies. Since the beginning of the crisis, the company has transported 40 million face masks to Spain.
